General Information
Attendance
Your attendance in class is expected.. If you are unable to attend for two or more sessions, please give us a call. Remember, new material is covered at almost every class and anything that upsets your normal routine can make it difficult to keep up with the class.

Conduct During Class
■ Prompt attendance is expected of all students.
■ No student shall join or leave class in progress without the instructor’s permission.

■ No student is allowed to teach another student during class unless instructed to do so.
■ Students are to practice caution at all times. Respect is a must for all.
Equipment
1. Training with equipment greatly reduces the risk of injury. Therefore, it is necessary that each student have a complete set of sparring equipment approved by RMALC. To insure proper compliance with our standards, sparring equipment must be purchased at the school.
2. Training equipment helps one to develop endurance and more powerful kicks. It also improves one’s speed, timing, and distance.
Forms
1. Forms are the way in which we express the beauty and art of our style.
2. A TAE KWON DO form is a choreographed pattern of movements utilizing the karate techniques. Some of the advanced forms are put to music. These forms are referred to as Martial Ballet.
3. Form technique is very important and is the main criteria on which one is judged at testing time. When practicing your forms, it is important to keep in mind the proper foot work, timing, and coordination of each movement.

Testing Information
Our chief goal at RMALC is for our students to steadily develop better mental, physical, and spiritual proficiency. This is done by their graduation into progressively more demanding classes. To determine when a student is ready to advance, specific pre-designed tests are given. If the student passes the test, the student is awarded a higher rank which denotes the student’s proficiency level and gives him/her recognition for his achievements.

■ The above monthly averages are based on students attending a minimum of 2-3 classes per week.
■ Each advance in belt rank will improve one’s total awareness and use of the mental and physical abilities which are within each of us: confidence, concentration, memory, and relaxation will be strengthened.
■ Balance, power, speed coordination, agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning and reactions improve as one attains each belt. Thus, with increased confidence and strength, each student will be able to fulfill their ultimate potential. In addition, all students must pass the pre-test which is held during the week prior to the testing date.
■ The Master and only the Master will determine who tests and who does not test.
** All students must purchase sparring equipment from RMALC after achieving the Green belt level. See Mr. Nick for details.
